Thursday evening last our second team took to the field at home against St. Lomans in the ACFL Division 4 match. A solid start by both teams produced a competitive first half with Shandonagh showing glimpses of great play. The second half then saw the Shandonagh men really cut loose and run at St. Lomans producing some majestic moments of football. Maitiu Scully at full back was very impressive with his powerful runs up the middle resulting in him coming away with contributing a goal and two points to the scoreboard. Conor Craig in goals kept a clean sheet and marshaled his defense excellently. Mark Kerrigan and Jake Costello played well keeping a high work rate all game. Up front Cormac Coyne delivered more of his usual self with some powerful runs and shots at goal proving a big handful for any defense when in form. Special mention to Harry Shannon who came off the bench and scored three great points from play.
